1. Who is responsible

Diogenes Consulting - FZCO is the data controller for personal data described in this policy. Questions or requests can be sent to hello@diogenes.consulting.

2. What we collect

This website is a static site. It sets no cookies and runs no analytics or tracking. We only receive personal data when you choose to contact us, typically:

  • your name, email address and anything else you include in a message;
  • business contact details and correspondence during an engagement.

Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs (such as IP address and pages requested) for security and operation of the service.

3. Why we use it

We use personal data to:

  • reply to enquiries and discuss potential work (legitimate interests);
  • deliver and administer engagements, including invoicing (performance of a contract);
  • meet legal and accounting obligations (legal obligation).

We do not sell personal data or use it for marketing lists.

4. Who we share it with

Data is held in our email, document and hosting services, which are provided by third parties acting on our instructions. We may also share data where the law requires it or with professional advisers under a duty of confidence. Where a provider processes data outside the UK, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or adequacy regulations.

5. How long we keep it

Enquiry correspondence is kept for up to two years after our last contact. Engagement records are kept for seven years after the engagement ends to meet accounting and legal requirements, then deleted.

6. Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask us to:

  • confirm what personal data we hold and give you a copy;
  • correct or delete it;
  • restrict or object to how we use it;
  • provide it in a portable format.

To exercise any of these, email hello@diogenes.consulting. If you are unhappy with our response you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

7. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of the page shows when it was last changed.
